Job Description:
A leading EMS provider is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to drive a proactive, enterprise-wide safety culture across clinical operations, fleet, maintenance, and administrative functions. This is a highly visible, high-impact role responsible for shifting safety from a reactive function to a strategic leadership priority. The EHS Manager will lead incident investigations, implement data-driven risk mitigation strategies, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership-balancing hands-on execution with organizational influence. The role carries authority to halt unsafe operations and enforce corrective actions to protect employees and patients.
Scope of responsibility includes:
Ownership of enterprise EHS programs, including OSHA compliance, hazard communication, and workplace safety standards Leadership of incident investigations, root cause analysis, and Just Culture application across accidents, injuries, and clinical risks Oversight of workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and insurance/risk mitigation initiatives Management of telematics and behavioral safety programs to proactively reduce driving and operational risk Development of SOPs, job hazard assessments, and ergonomics programs across field and office environments Partnership with HR and Education teams to design and implement corrective action plans and safety training Ideal profile: ASP or CSP certification required; OSHA 30-hour certification 3-5+ years of EHS leadership experience in EMS, healthcare, or fleet operations Strong background in incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and safety program development Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving culture change Additional certifications (ARM, CDS, CHMM, CPHRM) preferred
