Day Shift Project Scope This role supports a large-scale data center construction project, specifically overseeing safety operations for a roofing contractor. The project involves installation of roofing membrane, sheet metal, and wood block systems, with a workforce of approximately 50 personnel on site.

The Site Safety Manager will serve as the primary safety lead, ensuring compliance and helping establish structured safety protocols for a team new to projects of this size. The environment may initially be unstructured, requiring a proactive, adaptable safety professional who can guide, coach, and stabilize site operations while maintaining high safety standards. Qualifications CHST or CSP certification required Minimum 5 years of relevant safety experience Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications Data center construction experience required Roofing experience required Familiarity with cranerigging safety procedures (Pick PlansSignal Person experience) Procore experience required Bilingual preferred but not required Additional Requirements Experience working with union labor environments Ability to lead and coach teams on safety best practices Strong communication and organizational skills Experience assisting with permits, JHAs, PTPs, and compliance documentation Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving job site Must be able to walk and navigate large job sites for extended periods Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site safety activities for roofing operations Monitor and enforce OSHA and site-specific safety compliance Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety meetings Assist with development and management of JHAs, PTPs, and permits Coach and mentor crews and supervisors on safety practices Support implementation and utilization of Procore for safety documentation Coordinate with project management and field teams to address hazards Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions Help establish safety processes for a growing and developing project Skills Safety leadership, OSHA compliance, Procore proficiency, construction safety management, hazard identification, communication, team coaching, documentation management, cranerigging safety awareness Knowledge Base Strong knowledge of construction safety standards within data center and roofing environments, including OSHA regulations, fall protection, and rigging procedures. Experience with digital project management tools such as Procore and the ability to implement structured safety systems in developing or high-growth projects.
