EHS Specialist I Trex Company, Inc - 3.1 Little Rock, AR Job Details 6 hours ago Qualifications Content creation for technical audiences Team leadership Technical documentation Technical writing within manufacturing Manufacturing facility Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Ensures EHS policies and procedures are adhered to by all site personnel in compliance with local, State, and federal rules, regulations, and laws. Assists with the development of and delivers EHS compliance training such as site orientation and awareness training. Responds to incidents and coordinates investigations to identify uncontrolled hazards, verify hazard corrections, and monitor the effectiveness of existing hazard controls. Supports projects by coordinating vendors, contractors, and engineers to ensure that EHS standards are being met. Assists with creation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and conduct annual reviews of completed JHAs. Coordinates and conducts the Emergency Response Training and Drills with the Site Emergency Response Team Collaborates with engineering and management to assist with evaluation and selection of new equipment and development of related procedures. Supports collection of wastewater, storm water, chemicals and other materials for internal and external analysis and maintains documentation. Updates content for internal EHS webpage Manages site compliance calendar including facilitation to meet compliance deadlines. Updates and maintains EHS enterprise systems including incidents from first report to closure. Provides technical guidance to management regarding health-related issues and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintains proper inventory. Assist EHS Manager with reviewing, creating, and updating EHS procedures, manuals, and supporting documents as needed. Schedules and facilitates site Safety Committee and escalates concerns to plant management. Participates in extended EHS team and projects as assigned. Is on-call to respond to incidents or provide information. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor.
Experience, Education:
A degree from an accredited college or university in environmental science, occupational health, public health. natural sciences and 0 - 3 years relevant EHS experience is required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a high school diploma or GED and 5-or-more years in an EHS-related position will be considered. Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical writing, and excellent people skills required. Must have demonstrated leadership abilities in a self-directed team manufacturing environment.
