Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to champion our commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols that foster a secure and healthy work environment. Your expertise will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health standards. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, Workers' Compensation Law, and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses to identify potential risks and prevent incidents. Coordinate and deliver engaging training sessions on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, occupational health practices, and emergency response procedures. Manage incident reporting processes by preparing detailed reports, investigating accidents or near-misses, and recommending corrective actions. Oversee workers' compensation claims processes ensuring proper documentation and compliance with legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation for internal review and regulatory inspections. Serve as the primary point of contact for safety inquiries, fostering a culture of safety awareness across all departments. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, occupational health principles, and workers' compensation law. Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a focus on EHS management. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to analyze root causes of incidents effectively. Ability to deliver engaging training & development sessions on safety topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, and hazard recognition. Skilled in conducting thorough investigations using root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues. Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams at all levels and promote a safety-first mindset. Certifications such as First Aid & CPR certification are highly desirable; ongoing training in EHS best practices is encouraged.
