Job Description

Job Summary Expedite Fire Inc. dba Lindley Fire is seeking a dependable and motivated Fire Extinguisher & Hood Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, installation, and servicing of portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood suppression systems, and related fire protection equipment in accordance with applicable NFPA standards and local regulations.

Responsibilities Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and recharging of portable fire extinguishers. Conduct annual and semi-annual inspections of commercial kitchen hood suppression systems. Install, service, and repair fire extinguishers, hood systems, and related equipment. Complete required inspection reports, service documentation, and compliance records accurately. Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, manufacturer specifications, and local fire codes. Communicate professionally with customers regarding inspection findings, deficiencies, and recommendations. Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment. Respond to scheduled service calls and emergency service requests as needed. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in fire extinguisher service, hood suppression systems, fire protection, or a related trade preferred. Valid California Fire Extinguisher License. 2-5 years' experience with kitchen hood suppression systems Knowledge of
NFPA 10, NFPA
17A, and applicable fire protection standards preferred. Ability to work independently and manage daily service schedules. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required. Must be fluent in English, Bilingual preferred Spanish. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods. Ability to work in commercial kitchens and various indoor and outdoor environments.

From $40.00 per hour
