Job Description

Position Summary Position Summary :
The Facility Environmental Health & Safety Specialist will work with internal and external customers to support the environmental, health and safety goals of the site. This role will be on-site.
Scope/ Supervision and Interaction :
Will report to the EHS Manager. This position is expected to ensure that the day-to-day safety objectives of the site are met and interact daily with members of Facilities, Operations, Production, and Logistics to support employee safety objectives and waste management/minimization efforts.
Essential Functions :
Responsible for management, implementation, compliance and all details related to Environmental Health and Safety for the site. Responsible for safety training, coordination and distribution of weekly safety training topics for all employees Ensure safety inspections are completed and track corrective actions to completion Responsible for development and sustaining safety program in facility through goal deployment process Responsible for surveys, safety committees and proper record keeping of safety events and obligations Ensure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and Directives as well as federal, state and local regulators Handle all necessary documentation related to injuries including but not limited to near miss, first aid, accident and incident investigations and reporting Ensure environmental compliance through disposal arrangement, hazardous waste records, wastewater reports, storm water plan, chemical usage reports, air quality reporting, solid waste disposal and emergency response plan Perform ergonomic assessments and pursue proactive safety improvements throughout the site Support ISO 14001 and Parker EHSMS objectives and requirements, develop and follow up on corrective actions, work towards continuous improvement Support and integrate EHS into Lean, HR, Supply Chain, and other business efforts
Qualifications:
BS Degree in a technical field, preferably EHS (extensive experience with certificate programs, seminars and CEU's or associates degree possibly acceptable). 3+ years of applicable experience. A strong working knowledge of EHS regulations. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in Ergonomics and Behavior Based Safety a plus. Ability to work independently. Excellent communication and computer skills. Creative ability in ensuring safety of employees, the environment while meeting the needs of production. Ability to plan and implement EHS programs. Strong presentation skills. Ability to work effectively with management as well as with associates from the floor.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation Pay Range:
