HS Sanitation Assistant Position Description Job Type:

Part-time. Weekly hours vary depending on operational needs.

Location:

Long Beach, CA. Work is performed at company facilities and training sites.

Qualifications Experience:

Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or similar roles preferred. Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning solutions and materials. Strong attention to detail and organization in all tasks.

Work Ethic & Professionalism:

Punctual, dependable, and consistent in completing assigned duties. Demonstrates mindfulness and care when working around equipment, dogs, and staff.

Interpersonal Skills:

Effective communicator with team members and supervisors. Displays a positive and respectful attitude. •

Requirements & Skills Legal & Administrative:

Authorization to work in the United States. Signed employment agreement and non-disclosure agreement. Must pass a criminal background check.

Professional Expectations:

Reliable transportation to and from work sites. Consistent adherence to safety and sanitation protocols. Ability to work independently and maintain consistent quality standards.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Comfortable performing physical tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Capable of working efficiently in various weather conditions (outdoor cleaning).

Technology Skills:

Proficient in using smartphones for communication, scheduling, and logging completion reports. Basic recordkeeping and inventory management using mobile or digital tools.

Duties & Responsibilities Facility & Vehicle Sanitation:

Clean and disinfect the interior and exterior of company vans using approved cleaning products. Maintain sanitation standards for all workspaces, including training areas and storage zones. Ensure all cleaning tools and solutions are properly stored and labeled.

Inventory & Equipment Management:

Maintain accurate sanitation supply and inventory records. Report low stock and assist with restocking and ordering as needed. Handle all sanitation equipment with care and mindful attention to proper use.

Organization & Workflow Support:

Keep workstations clean, safe, and organized. Collaborate with the team to ensure spaces are prepared and maintained for daily operations. Communicate clearly with supervisors about sanitation updates, needs, or issues. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and organized environments while supporting a mission-driven team dedicated to canine health and training excellence.
