Job Description

Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Preplan startup jobsite safety assessments.
  • Perform written jobsite safety inspections and policy reviews and take immediate corrective action as assigned.
  • Give reprimands to employees who are not following the safety guidelines.
  • Investigation of accidents
  • Monitor the medical treatment and status of injured employees in conjunction with HR until injured employee is fully released and/or the claim is closed.
  • Filing and maintaining the employee safety files in conjunction with HR.
  • Identify needs and make recommendations for safety equipment and PPE.
  • Provide required safety orientation for newly hired employees.
  • Provide required safety training for all employees on an ongoing basis.
  • Attend OSHA inspections, informal conferences, and DOT conferences and compliance reviews as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Conform to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned. To be successful in this position, the candidate must have:
  • 3-5 years of safety management experience, preferably in the commercial construction field or Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field.
  • Knowledge of
CAL/OSHA
Construction Safety Orders
  • Knowledge of
OSHA 1926
Construction and/or 1910 General Industry Standards as they pertain to our business.
  • OSHA 30-hour within the last two years
  • Ability to successfully complete OSHA 500 and 501 Trainer Course
  • Ability to learn general Department of Transportation standards
  • First Aid/Adult CPR and AED certifications
  • Knowledge of basic accident and injury investigation techniques
  • Windows applications, Microsoft Office and operating software
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) are a plus.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$24.30 - $26.34 per hour
