Job Description

EHS Specialist (Contractor) — San Francisco Bay Area, CA On-site | Contract | 2 openings About the Role We are seeking two EHS Specialists (Contractors) to support the hands-on execution and monitoring of practical safety programs. You will maintain regulatory compliance and assess hazards across fast-paced aerospace environments. In this role, you will manage day-to-day EHS activities across R D, engineering, lab, and manufacturing spaces. Responsibilities include conducting field audits, overseeing chemical and hazardous waste inventories, delivering safety training, and collaborating with teams to perform Job Hazard Analyses and incident investigations. You will help bridge policy and practice while fostering a transparent, safety-focused culture. What You'll Do Own key safety programs: IIPP, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Respiratory Protection, Electrical Safety/NFPA 70E, and Powered Industrial Trucks Run Job Hazard Analyses with Engineering, Manufacturing, R D, and Flight Test teams Conduct industrial hygiene assessments with third-party consultants Manage SDS documentation and hazardous material classifications Audit facilities and equipment; track corrective actions to closure Lead EHS training sessions and join our internal Safety Collective Respond to onsite emergencies, including fires and electrical incidents What You Bring
B.S./B.A.
in Environmental Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field 5+ years of EHS experience in industrial, R D, or manufacturing settings Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA, federal OSHA, and EPA regulations
DOT / CA
Title 22 (Div. 4.5) certification, or willingness to obtain it Experience leading incident investigations and writing compliance reports Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working across teams Ability to walk facility floors daily and handle inspection equipment Flexibility for occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends Must be
US Person Pay:
$40.00 - $60.00 per hour
