EH and S Coordinator Sanders Industries Holdings Bloomfield, CT Job Details Full-time $27 - $33 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Employee assistance program Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Desktop applications Productivity software Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Kamatics is seeking a EH and S Coordinator who is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for employees and supporting the compliance of EHS rules/regulations and requirements at Kamatics Bloomfield. This position involves working closely with employees, supervisors, and management to identify, evaluate, and eliminate hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities Implement and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Support the Kaman Bloomfield campus EHS programs by performing audits, inspections and tracking inventories. Conduct audits monthly for EHS programs. Alert EHS and/or facilities leadership of issues. Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential hazards. Be part of the team to Investigate incidents and determine root causes / corrective actions. Conduct monitoring for ventilation. Monitor EHS performance in the workplace and provide feedback to leadership. Assemble and install equipment including desks and material handling equipment. Maintain EHS compliance records and documentation. Provide input and assistance in the development EHS strategies. Operate in a safe manner at all times, setting the example for a "safety first" mindset. Maintain company information as technical or proprietary. Complete professional development training including OSHA 10 hour, HazWopr, RCRA and OSHA 30 hour or other identified / necessary training.
Requirements and Qualifications Education:
Minimum high school education. Preferred Bachelors Degree in health or safety.
Experience :
1-3 years in a manufacturing environment
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Physical Requirements Lifting - up to 40 lbs. Bending Twisting Walking 8+ hours per day Wearing personal protective equipment daily including safety shoes and glasses.
