Job Description

Hettrick, Cyr & Associates, Inc., located in Glastonbury, Connecticut, has been providing occupational safety services to the construction and general industry sectors since 1994. We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated safety professional to join our team, with a primary focus on construction. This role is based out of Glastonbury, CT and will require occasional overnight travel (~8 wks/yr).
Qualifications:
5+ years of construction safety experience; Large scale or roofing is a bonus Knowledge of construction safety best practices, and their practical application Proven experience in responsibilities consistent with this role Bachelor's degree in safety management or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered Strong communication skills; able to engage with all levels of management and field personnel including training others Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills strongly preferred Safety-related professional certifications (e.g., CHST, CSP) desired
Responsibilities:
Deliver safety and risk control services to clients Conduct jobsite safety inspections and develop site-specific safety plans Develop and deliver training programs for workers Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations Prepare written reports and assist with incident investigations Support clients in implementing proactive safety programs and best practices Apply knowledge of hazard recognition and control across workers' compensation, property, fleet, general liability, and products liability
Salary Information:
$75,000 to $115,000 annually. Pay will be based on experience. Position is full-time.
