Industrial Hygienist [for OSEPU office]
Clearance:
MUST have
Top Secret Clearance Education:
Bachelor's Degree (science or engineering degree preferred),
Masters Preferred Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years' experience, and/or CIH Certifications for
Onsite Key Personnel:
Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Asbestos Project Designer Certification, AHERA Asbestos Inspector Certification and have or be capable of obtaining at contractor's expense CAOHC (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) Certification.
Job Description:
The contractor personnel must have a professional knowledge of industrial hygiene concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the conduct of industrial hygiene inspections in a wide variety of industries. Personnel must also have knowledge of industrial operations and processes, materials and equipment used, and by-products generated. They shall be skilled in the use of a variety of sampling equipment, knowledge of sampling strategies, and knowledge of the types and limitations of analytical methods. Knowledge of methods of control for a wide variety of health hazards, including toxic chemicals, biological, environmental, radiation, and noise is also necessary. Personnel shall be skilled in technical report writing and capable of generating written reports, training programs, and outreach communication materials with minimal editing by the FBI. Strong technical writing, proofreading, data management, and data entry skills are required. The ability to learn new and proprietary data entry and other computer programs will be necessary. The ability to conduct sampling in accordance with accepted industrial hygiene practices and utilize laboratories accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association, or other accredited laboratories, as appropriate will be needed. Personnel will be required to provide sample results and reports in at least 30 days or work with the Contracting Officer to modify delivery dates in special circumstances. Personnel shall have professional knowledge of the theory and application of industrial hygiene principles, as well as experience performing quantitative and qualitative data collection, measurement of exposures for a variety of chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic stressors, the analysis and interpretation of data, and the ability to predict probable effects of exposures on the health of workers. Personnel shall provide technical recommendations for hazard controls, including engineering controls, personal protective equipment, training, and referral for medical surveillance. Personnel shall be capable of attaining, at the contractors' expense, CAOHC (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) Certification Application Question(s): Do you currently have an active "Top Secret Clearance"?
