Job Title:
Safety Technician Job Description The Safety Technician will be responsible for implementing and sustaining safety programs across various field construction sites, including hotels and site refurbishments/upgrades. This role serves as the key technical resource for safety programs. Responsibilities Implement and sustain comprehensive safety programs across construction sites. Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure compliance. Perform investigations and technical evaluations to uphold safety standards. Manage and coordinate with general contractors and third-party vendors to maintain safety protocols. Communicate effectively with Safety Services Members, leadership, and team members regarding safety concerns and best practices. Adapt schedules and priorities to accommodate changing workday needs while ensuring safety compliance. Essential Skills Experience in commercial construction and site safety management. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures. Experience managing third-party vendors and general contractors. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans. Investigation skills for safety compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 30 and
OSHA 500
certifications. Experience in EHS audits and compliance. Bachelor's degree is required. 7-10 years of relevant experience in the field. Work Environment The position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and climbing. The role demands excellent time management skills and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in communicating with leadership and team members is crucial. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $66.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
