Entry Health and Safety Specialist West Palm Beach, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Air sampling Document review (document control) Safety inspections for hazard identification Safety regulations First aid Driver's License Surveillance Driving Workplace health and safety regulatory compliance Associate's degree Communication skills Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description Controls hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety inspections. Communicates results to supervisor. Oversees and administers health/safety and first aid activities directly related to on‐site health and safety, including work assignments, training, safety orientation, etc. Reports, investigates, and documents all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions/activities. Identifies causes and reports to supervisor. Conducts work‐area surveillance inspections, air sampling tests for confined space entry, property damage and personal injury investigations. Reviews project health & safety documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete and accurate. Implements appropriate corrective action as required. Performs other duties as required. Accompanies health, safety, and insurance inspectors on walk‐through tours of the project. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree. Certifications may be required depending on federal, state, local, or contract requirements. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Driver's License Requirements An appropriate and valid driver's license is required. Preferred Qualifications CHST is required for this position. Amount of Travel Required 20% Skills and Abilities Basic understanding of all federal, state, local health and safety regulations and how to administer them. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and assist in implementing corrective measures essential. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
