Opportunity Location:
Douglasville, GA We are seeking a Safety Professional to join our growing safety team. Experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. A working knowledge of OSHA standards is required, and familiarity with DOT, BATF, MSHA, or environmental standards is a strong plus. Training and mentorship will be provided to help you grow in the role. Our safety team works directly with operations to continuously strengthen our safety culture while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. What You Will Do Participate in training opportunities to further develop your safety knowledge and professional skills. Assist in the development, delivery, and monitoring of employee training. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable regulations for your assigned division(s). Conduct safety observations at jobsites, magazines, & shops to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance using custom reporting applications. Communicate safety messaging through Teams, electronic communication, and in-person interaction. Address safety challenges by working collaboratively with operations to identify solutions and reinforce learning opportunities. Support incident investigations and assist with documenting findings using our incident tracking system. Maintain regular communication with the Safety Manager and safety team to establish priorities and support strategic safety goals. Promote a positive safety culture focused on making sure every employee goes home safely each day. What We Are Looking For Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with our operational teams. A willingness to learn and grow in a safety-focused role. Basic understanding of safety principles with the ability to recognize general workplace hazards. Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support assigned division(s) or provide coverage in other regions. About You You are a team-oriented professional with equal ability to work on your own possessing a commitment to a safe and professional workplace. You are interested in building a career in safety and developing a strong understanding of the regulations and practices that support our industry. Experience in construction at the site development phase is helpful but not required.
