Job Overview:
Lin Tec Fire Solutions is looking for a driven, self-starting, sales representative to assist in growing the service and construction markets. The qualified candidate will sell fire products and services to new and existing customers in the market. The employee will also possess the proven ability to execute contracts and manage the new projects they sell to completion. Sales responsibilities will include cold-calling, hosting lunch & learns, deciphering plans and submittals, submitting RFIs, bidding to contractors, and proposing upgrades to new and existing service customers. Management responsibilities will include but not be limited to coordination and scheduling of project activities, project submittals, equipment procurement, project startup, execution, communication, performance, and completion. Completing projects on time and under budget are essential for the success of this position. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to electrical and/or mechanical installation, material acquisition, troubleshooting, programing, acceptance testing, pressure testing, and fan testing for marine and land-based projects. Candidate must possess skills including written and electronic communication, computer-related, sales, estimating, and negotiating. Top pay will be based on experience and the candidates' ability to finish projects within deadline and under budget. Some overnight travel will be required on occasion. All accommodations including travel, lodging, rental cars, etc. paid for by company. Company will provide training which may include mainland travel for manufacturer specific certifications. Our typical system installations include but are not limited to fire alarm, fire suppression, galley, and range hood fire suppression systems. Recommended certifications include ICC certification in Portables, Kitchen, and Pre-Engineered Industrial Fire Extinguishing Systems, NICET certifications in Special Hazard, Fire Alarm, and Inspection of Water-Based Systems. Ability to work independently and good work ethic is a must!! Mechanical and/or construction experience is preferred. Some heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) may be required. Company will provide safety equipment, training, vehicle(s), special tools, and anything else that mutually benefits customers and the company. Proven experience in B2B (business-to-business) sales, especially within technical or safety-related industries. Skilled in delivering engaging product demos that clearly communicate technical features and advantages. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and lead outside sales efforts. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences. Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple accounts, meetings, and follow-ups efficiently. Analysis skills to interpret market data, client needs, and sales metrics for strategic planning. Experience in construction and fire protection sales, highlighting adaptability across regulated industries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word for documentation, PowerPoint for presentations, and Excel for data analysis.
