Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an Entry-Level Commercial Construction Safety Specialist to support our safety program on active commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone just starting a career in construction safety who is eager to learn, grow, and build hands-on field experience. You will work closely with experienced safety and project leaders to promote safe work practices, identify hazards, and reinforce OSHA and company safety standards across our job sites. What You'll Do Assist with daily and weekly safety inspections on commercial construction sites Observe work activities and help identify potential safety hazards Report unsafe conditions or behaviors to field supervision and safety leadership Help ensure employees and subcontractors follow site-specific safety plans Verify proper use of PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, safety vests, fall protection) Support fall protection, ladder, scaffold, and aerial lift safety practices Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning Help lead or support toolbox talks and new-hire safety orientations Participate in incident and near-miss investigations as directed Maintain safety documentation, inspection checklists, and logs Attend safety meetings, trainings, and project briefings Promote a positive, team-focused safety culture What We're Looking For Associate's degree required in Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field Interest in safety and commercial construction Entry-level position - prior safety experience not required Construction experience is a plus but not required Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and safety staff Strong communication skills and attention to detail Professional attitude when working with field employees and subcontractors Basic computer skills (email, digital forms, reports) Reliable transportation to job sites Certifications (Company-Provided or Supported) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 - Construction First Aid / CPR / AED Site-specific commercial construction safety training Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work on active commercial construction job sites Ability to walk uneven surfaces and climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Early mornings and occasional overtime depending on project schedules Career Growth Opportunity This position offers structured on-the-job training with opportunities for advancement into Safety Coordinator and Safety Manager roles as experience and certifications are gained.
