- Support the Quality Manager in developing and maintaining qualified plant personnel through training, direction, and motivation.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce quality procedures covering ingredient and packaging control, testing, product disposition, rework, HACCP/PCQI, GMPs, and sanitation.
- Communicate and enforce Kerry standards related to product quality, process specifications, formula compliance, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support to drive process improvements and support corrective actions related to customer complaints.
- Support and participate in internal, third-party, and regulatory audits, including SQF and food safety audits.
- Maintain and oversee the SQF system, Food Safety Programs, and Food Quality Programs.
- Lead or support
HACCP/PCQI
activities, including certifications, reviews, and ongoing program management.- Lead and assist with plant self-inspections, safety inspections, and mock recall exercises.
- Develop and track Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) and prepare key performance indicator (KPI) reports.
- Issue, maintain, and train on plant-specific work instructions, quality policies, and procedures. Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and four to ten years of related experience or training.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, food safety, and regulatory environments within manufacturing.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to analyze trends, variances, and root causes to support continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information to management and respond to customer or regulatory inquiries.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple, competing requests.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, climb ladders, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to work in varied manufacturing environments, including hot, cold, and dusty conditions, and maintain a flexible schedule.
