2 Months Candidates should be local to Williamsburg, IA Detailed Job description: Nurse Extenders are expected to provide basic first aid to employees who have a work-related injury or illness on the business premises and surrounding establishments. An injury or illness intake form is required to be completed with the employee's personal information, record vital signs, treat injuries and illnesses using basic first aid skills and document what treatments are used, and evaluates the physical condition of the employee and communicates to the site Nurse Practitioner any questions or concerns. The intake form must be submitted timely and accurately to ensure standards are being met and follow up care is taking place appropriately. The Nurse Extenders will also be expected to be comfortable calling for Emergency Personnel if the situation requires.

POSITION

SUMMARY- Nurse Extenders are in addition to our full-time employees to ensure adequate coverage with the influx of employees Williamsburg has during Summer month(s). The goal is to have individuals out observing and monitoring employees at various locations and intervening when illness or injury occur. Nurse Extenders are in addition to our full-time employees to ensure adequate coverage in monitoring employees health and safety during our summer months when we have an influx of employees. The goal is to have the individuals out with crews monitoring environmental conditions and evaluating and treating employees when injuries or illnesses occur.
