Second Shift Warehouse Trainer

Non-exempt Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating and training new warehouse employees, typically with relation to an area of the warehouse facility or identified set of activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees Forklift compliance and Operations training program. Ensures proper training of team members on safety & health requirements and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Observes Warehouse activities and conditions. Regularly monitors health and safety policy violations. Enforces prescribed use of safety equipment (such as PPE) and the proper application of required safety procedures. Ensures regulatory safety compliance and implements required improvements; recommends changes to current safety policies and procedures. Assists New Hire Safety Orientation to all new warehouse team members. Develops productive personal relationships with team members at all levels to affect positive safety behavioral and cultural changes. Completes team member safety observations. Supports the Safety and Training Manager. Any other reasonable request by management.

Required Skills:

Regularly stand and walk for 10 or more hours in a day. Effectively handle lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds frequently. Frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, grip, climb or balance, reach with hands and arms. Use strong math skills to count and multiply accurately. Use non-motorized and motorized MHE.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma. Prior warehouse/distribution experience required. Prior use of forklift and other motorized equipment required. Customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate will work frequent prolonged work schedules with little advance notice with continuous exposure to extreme cold and noise. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 pounds frequently. Vertical Cold Storage is an
