Quincy, Illinois, United States Job Description Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, Shift Supervisor or Line Lead, the sanitation worker is responsible for the internal and external sanitation of filling and production warmer equipment and the cleanliness of these areas in compliance with the federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.
Job Duties:
Inspect products and equipment for conformity to sanitation standards. Confer with management and production personnel on sanitation problems. Compile and correctly fill out required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and purity of product. Develop housekeeping standards and monitor cleaning practices. Monitor condition of sanitation equipment and report any deterioration conditions or mechanical concerns. Assist in cleaning of non-production areas in facility. Recycle materials and sort waste. Abide by the Wis-Pak Good Manufacturing Practices. Learn the CIP process. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in sanitizing on all three production lines. Comply with all plant and food safety, Food Safety Plan, GMP and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications:
Must have the abiliy to drive a forklift and must pass forklift safety course. Must be able to stand and walk 8-10 hours. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to work well with others in a team setting. Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures for long periods of time. Must be able to read and write the English language as well as be able to understand spoken English. Must be able to work unsupervised. Pay & Benefits Pay increases are received at12 months and at 24 months grade max is reached.
