at APL Engineered Materials, Inc. in Urbana, Illinois, United States Job Description About the Role APL Engineered Materials, Inc. is looking for a Safety Specialist to manage and maintain our environmental, health, and safety programs. This role is ideal for someone with some hands-on exposure to OSHA and EPA regulations in a manufacturing environment. Training on company-specific systems will be provided. You will work closely with a small, collaborative team to maintain a safe workplace while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage regulatory reporting for OSHA, EPA, IEPA, and other relevant agencies Maintain permits, compliance records, and reporting accounts Conduct safety audits and facility inspections Coordinate inspections with vendors and inspectors Maintain employee safety programs and training records Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions Perform hands-on safety tasks on the production floor Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in safety, environmental science, chemistry, or related field 1-3 years of experience with
OSHA/EPA
