Job Description

We are seeking a Site Safety Specialist to support field safety operations on large, fast-paced construction projects. This is an entry-level, field-focused role ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in construction safety while gaining hands-on experience on active job sites.

The Site Safety Specialist will work closely with Safety Leadership, project teams, craft professionals, subcontractors, and client representatives to reinforce safety expectations and promote a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Safety Leadership in implementing site-specific safety programsPerform daily field safety observations and document findingsAssist with monitoring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and OSHA regulationsParticipate in job hazard analyses, pre-task planning, and safety briefingsSupport safety orientations and onboarding for new hiresTrack and coordinate required safety training and certificationsMaintain safety documentation, including permits, inspection logs, and reportsAssist with incident response, investigations, and follow-up documentationParticipate in project start-up meetings and reinforce safety expectations in the fieldMonitor housekeeping, PPE usage, and general site conditionsHelp maintain safety boards, signage, and communication materialsInterface professionally with subcontractors and client safety representativesSupport mentoring and coaching of craft personnel under direction of safety leadershipPerform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in construction, safety, or a related field preferredOSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required or willingness to obtain upon hireBasic knowledge of OSHA construction standards preferredStrong interest in construction safety, especially large-scale or mechanical environmentsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability project settingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized with attention to detail and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and OutlookComfortable using tablets and mobile field technologyAbility to work in both office and active construction site environmentsWillingness to travel or relocate based on project needsBenefitsHealth/Vision/Dental Insurance401K plan with company matchPTO/Sick Leave/Holidays
