Job Description

Clay County Health Department is seeking a full-time Environmental Health Specialist. Person is responsible for a variety of environmental inspecting, permitting, and testing duties, working with the general public, contractors and retail food establishments as well as other government agencies. Inspecting of retail food establishments, festivals, schools, food trucks, and other food-related operations as scheduled. Inspection of tattoo establishments. Inspection of sites prior to construction of residential on-site sewage systems. Responds to requests, questions, and complaints, concerning septic systems, and related environmental concerns.
