Job Description

Examinetics is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Industrial Hygiene Technician! This is a full-time position reporting to the Cleveland-Cliffs Indiana Harbor office. The Industrial Hygiene Technician will be responsible for maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations within a dynamic steel mill environment. Tasks will include asbestos air monitoring, asbestos bulk sampling, industrial hygiene air monitoring, personal noise dosimetry, and environmental sampling and monitoring. Paid Time Off Annual Company Bonus Primary Responsibilities:
Perform assigned projects while working effectively without constant supervision. Conduct Industrial Hygiene samplings including asbestos air monitoring, asbestos bulk sampling, industrial air monitoring, and personal noise dosimetry. Draft professional technical reports and ensure all project-related documentation is updated and submitted to the Project Manager daily. Maintain a high level of professional conduct, ensuring all personal licenses required for the role remain active and valid. Accurately record billable time, vacation, and PTO in ADP. Submit daily timesheets for integration into the Cleveland-Cliffs Trax system.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree in safety or industrial hygiene related field. (preferred but not required) Entry level position - experience preferred but not required. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Asbestos building inspector (preferred but not required) Asbestos supervisor (preferred but not required) OSHA 30-hour General Industry (preferred but not required) Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work a standard day shift while remaining flexible for overtime, weekend, or off-hour tasks as project needs dictate. Mobility Possession of a dependable personal automobile is required. Must possess and maintain current personal auto insurance and valid driver's license.
