Job Description

•ASnapshot of Your Day•As an EHS Specialist, you will be a key partner to ourmanufacturing teams, responsible for fostering a proactive safety culture andensuring environmental compliance. You will provide daily, hands-on support andguidance, collaborating with employees, contractors, and leadership to identifyrisks and implement effective EHS solutions in a dynamic industrial setting.

Your primary focus will be the development, implementation, and continuousimprovement of EHS programs. This includes conducting risk assessments, leadingincident investigations, and ensuring all operations align with federal andstate regulations (such as
OSHA, EPA
) and international standards (ISO14001/45001). You will be instrumental in analyzing process changes to preventnegative EHS impacts and driving initiatives that reduce employee risk andenhance environmental performance. Success in this role requires acollaborative and solutions-oriented mindset. You will be responsible fordeveloping and delivering EHS training, conducting audits, and managingcritical documentation and reporting. The ideal candidate will leverage theirexpertise in hazardous waste management, root cause analysis, and safetyprinciples to support our organization's commitment to a Zero Harm workplace. This role sits on-site in Hutchinson, Kansas. •How You'll Make an Impact•+ Develop,implement, and maintain EHS programs aligned with regulatory requirements(OSHA, EPA, DOT) and company standards (e.g., ISO 14001/45001). + Ensureprocess changes are evaluated for EHS impact and risks are mitigatedbefore implementation. Managesite waste management activities, including hazardous wastecharacterization, storage, and disposal procedures. + Prepareand submit required EHS reports and documentation to ensure regulatorycompliance and conform to business requirements. + Conductregular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments in themanufacturing environment to identify and correct hazards. Leador participate in incident investigations, perform root cause analysis,and track corrective and preventive actions to completion. FacilitateJob Safety Analyses (JSA) for new or modified tasks and equipment toensure safe operating procedures. + Developand deliver EHS training content for employees, contractors, andmanagement on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response,and safe work practices. Actas a visible EHS presence on the shop floor, providing daily coaching andmentorship to foster a strong safety culture. + Collaboratewith cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, andEngineering to integrate EHS principles into daily activities andprojects. •What You Bring•+ Bachelor'sdegree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or arelated technical field. + 3+years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing or industrial environmentpreferred + Certifications nice to have: CertifiedSafety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP), OSHA30-Hour General Industry, CertifiedHazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) + Knowledge of EHS Regulations including: OSHARegulations (General Industry), EPA& DOT Regulations, ISO14001 & ISO 45001 Standards, and WasteManagement Principles preferred + Technical& Analytical Skills such as RootCause Analysis, RiskAssessment & Job Safety Analysis (JSA), IncidentInvestigation, EHSAuditing & Inspection + ProfessionalSkills such as: Cross-functionalCollaboration, Training& Mentoring, StakeholderEngagement, TechnicalReport Writing Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the UnitedStates without need for current or future employer-sponsored workauthorization.
