Job Title:
EHS Safety Co-op/Intern Mission:
Provide process safety support in both machining and assembly processes What would your typical day look like? Validate current safety processes to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and document, communicate and conduct training on improvements Analyze best practices and develop safety processes to achieve plant objectives through problem solving Assist safety team in other various operations safety improvement or special projects Assist Team in training new hire or skilled trades Perform additional responsibilities as required; position is subject to change as the needs of the department change Safety & Quality Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant Be proactively involved with improving working conditions Academic and Experience Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering or related field 2 years of undergraduate studies working towards bachelor's degree Experience in automotive/manufacturing industry Knowledge of OSHA/Safety standards and practices
Technical Skills:
Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Leadership Competencies
