Cleaning & Support Technician Sweet Teez Bakery is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Cleaning & Support Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers and team members. Position Summary The Cleaning & Support Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and team members. This position is responsible for executing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules; upholding sanitation and food safety standards; assisting with dishwashing and facility upkeep; stocking supplies; and providing general operational support to the bakery and café teams. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and understands the importance of cleanliness and organization in creating an exceptional customer experience and supporting efficient bakery operations. Responsibilities Cleaning & Sanitation Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules accurately and on time. Accurately document the completion of cleaning tasks on daily and weekly cleaning logs. Follow established cleaning checklists and sanitation procedures. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, kitchen, bakery production areas, storage rooms, and employee workspaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors throughout the facility. Clean and disinfect tables, counters, display cases, equipment, doors, windows, and high-touch surfaces. Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, trays, baking tools, and food preparation equipment. Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas. Report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns to management promptly. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards. Operational Support Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, packaging materials, and café essentials. Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries. Maintain organized storage areas, supply rooms, and utility closets. Support bakery and café staff with general cleaning and operational tasks as needed. Assist with opening, closing, and deep-cleaning procedures. Qualifications Previous janitorial, cleaning, food service, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred. Experience following cleaning schedules, task lists, or maintenance checklists preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and stocking tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment and around commercial baking equipment. Performance Expectations Complete all assigned cleaning schedule tasks before the end of each shift.
