Job Summary Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees in the workplace by preventing accidents, promoting a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Does this position require Patient Care? Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance with safety standards. Investigate accidents, incidents, near-misses, and safety-related incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans. Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees, managers, and supervisors. Monitor compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards, such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. Assess the need for safety equipment and personal protective equipment and ensure their availability, proper use, and maintenance. Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire safety plans, and first aid protocols. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Occupational Safety & Health required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Safety-Related Experience 2-3 years required and Leadership Experience 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, and national safety regulations and standards is essential.
  • This includes knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines and relevant industry-specific regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop effective safety strategies.
  • Keen eye for detail to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership qualities to effectively educate and motivate employees to adhere to safety guidelines.
