EHS Engineer / Safety Coordinator EHS Engineer / Safety Coordinator - Commercial ConstructionA leading commercial contractor is seeking an EHS Engineer / Safety Coordinator to support safety operations across active construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated safety professional to gain hands-on field experience while contributing to the development and enforcement of a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about job site safety, with the ability to work closely with field teams to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and promote safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs on job sites
• Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits
• Identify hazards and assist in developing corrective action plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Assist with incident investigations and documentation
• Lead or support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
• Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to promote a safety-first cultureQualifications
• 1-5+ years of experience in construction safety or EHS-related role
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment
• OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• CHST or ASP certification is a plus

Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range:

$70,000 - $85,000 per year (based on experience)
