  • Baltimore/Washington DC region The Safety Coordinator is responsible for driving a proactive, field-first safety culture across all active jobsites.
This role ensures that safety is not just compliant, but operationalized through daily behaviors, consistent field presence, and strong accountability. This individual will partner closely with field leadership, Site Managers, and crews to identify risks early, correct unsafe conditions immediately, and continuously improve safety performance across all projects. What Success Looks Like Jobsites are consistently safe, clean, and inspection-ready Safety issues are identified and corrected before incidents occur Crews understand and follow safety expectations daily Documentation is accurate, timely, and actionable Safety is viewed as a standard of execution , not a checklist Core Responsibilities Field Safety & Risk Management Travel to jobsites to identify, assess, and correct safety hazards in real time Perform routine and ad hoc risk assessments across active projects Ensure all jobsites are compliant with OSHA and company safety standards Address unsafe behavior immediately and reinforce expectations Inspections, Reporting & Documentation Conduct jobsite inspections and complete required reports consistently Maintain accurate documentation of: Safety inspections Incidents and near misses Corrective actions Provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve jobsite safety Training & Safety Culture Deliver daily/weekly toolbox talks and safety training Train employees and subcontractors on: Fall protection PPE usage Equipment safety Reinforce safety expectations through consistent field engagement Promote a proactive, not reactive, safety mindset Safety Program Execution Develop and implement project-specific safety plans Ensure safety plans are actively followed, not just documented Participate in pre-construction safety planning and jobsite setup Support safety walks, audits, and inspections with internal and external stakeholders Field Partnership & Communication Partner with Site Managers and field teams to improve safety execution Maintain consistent communication with leadership on safety trends and risks Act as a resource and coach, not just an enforcer Equipment & PPE Management Issue and track PPE and safety equipment Ensure crews have the tools needed to work safely at all times Skills And Qualifications Experience in construction safety, field operations, or related role Strong understanding of OSHA and safety regulations Ability to manage multiple jobsites and priorities simultaneously Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to influence behavior and drive accountability in the field Experience reading construction plans (preferred)
OSHA 10/30
(preferred) Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Work Environment & Requirements Must be able to work in outdoor environments (heat, cold, varying conditions) Frequent travel required across assigned regions Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to walk jobsites, climb ladders, and lift up to 75 lbs Typical hours: 7:00 AM
