This role develops, implements, and monitors workplace safety programs, ensures compliance with OSHA and company regulations, conducts safety training, investigates incidents, and works closely with employees and management to reduce workplace hazards and prevent injuries. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments throughout the manufacturing plant. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Lead safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and supervisors. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training, and compliance documentation. Monitor workplace conditions and recommend improvements to reduce hazards and increase employee safety. Coordinate emergency response procedures, evacuation drills, and safety preparedness activities. Collaborate with supervisors and department managers to promote a strong safety culture. Review machinery, equipment, and processes to ensure safe operating conditions. Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) programs and ensure proper employee usage. Track and report safety performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards. Experience conducting safety audits, investigations, and training programs. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software preferred. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to walk through manufacturing areas for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to wear required PPE in operational environments. Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures in plant environments. #
INDP Pay:
$75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
