Job Summary The Safety Specialist will provide administrative support to the health and safety department for the company. Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
• Starting wage, $20.00-22.00 per hour, based on experience Duties and Responsibilities
• Champion a safety-first culture
• Accept inbound calls regarding incidents, gather pertinent information, and notify relevant department
• Record and follow up on incident reports, and obtain police reports for incident investigations
• Work with the HR Department collecting any previous incidents information
• Collect, analyze, and report data to Federal Government agencies to prove department is compliant with federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and ordinances
• Ensure all needed permits and registrations are current
• Coordinate licensing and registration of company vehicles
• Respond to questions on hazardous materials to ensure proper shipping

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in transportation preferred
• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health and Safety, or related field preferred
• 1+ year of experience in health and safety preferred Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
