- Champion a safety-first culture
- Accept inbound calls regarding incidents, gather pertinent information, and notify relevant department
- Record and follow up on incident reports, and obtain police reports for incident investigations
- Work with the HR Department collecting any previous incidents information
- Collect, analyze, and report data to Federal Government agencies to prove department is compliant with federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, and ordinances
- Ensure all needed permits and registrations are current
- Coordinate licensing and registration of company vehicles
- Respond to questions on hazardous materials to ensure proper shipping
- Daily inspections of loading area for packages missing hazmat paperwork and/or unsafe working conditions
- Audit and identify discrepancies in electronic driver logs

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Education and Experience
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in transportation preferred
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health and Safety, or related field preferred
- 1+ year of experience in health and safety preferred Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
