Job Description
The Benton County Health Department has a full time opening (40 hour/week) for an Environmental Public Health Specialist. Applicants preferably have a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably with a science specialization. (Substitutions may be allowed.) Responsibilities will include administering and enforcing federal, state, and local environmental health regulations, promoting safe sanitary practices, and protecting both the environment and public health. Duties will include performing routine inspections on retail food establishments, daycares and lodging facilities, evaluating private well water tests and regulating onsite wastewater treatment systems.
