Job Posting — Safety Coordinator / Field Safety Lead ICE Contractors, Inc. About ICE Contractors Instrumentation & Electrical Contractors, Inc. (ICE) is a growing industrial I&E contracting firm based in Hattiesburg, MS. We specialize in midstream and industrial instrumentation and electrical construction, serving clients across Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama. Our team of professionals is known for quality work, strong client relationships, and a culture that takes care of its people. We are adding a Safety Coordinator / Field Safety Lead to help us build on our safety culture, protect our crew, and support our continued growth into larger projects and prequalified client programs. Position summary This is a hands-on, field-forward safety role. You will own ICE's safety program — writing, maintaining, and improving it — while spending the majority of your time embedded with crews on active job sites across our operating territory. credible in the field, effective with clients, and capable of building a culture where every crew member goes home safely. What you will do Safety program ownership Maintain, update, and improve ICE's written safety and health program Develop site-specific safety plans for active projects Manage the corrective action process following incidents, near-misses, and observations Track leading and lagging indicators; report monthly to ownership on safety performance and EMR trends Coordinate with insurance carrier and broker on safety program reviews and loss control visits Manage PPE inventory and distribution Field presence and crew support Conduct pre-task planning (JSA/JHA) reviews prior to high-risk work activities Lead daily toolbox talks on active job sites Perform regular field observations and safety walks; document findings and close corrective actions Support crews with LOTO, confined space, elevated work, and energized electrical work permitting Identify and correct at-risk behaviors in a constructive, coaching-oriented manner Support fleet management Training and compliance Deliver or coordinate OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training for field employees Ensure new hire safety orientation is completed prior to job site deployment Maintain currency of all required certifications for ICE employees (First Aid/CPR, equipment operator, etc.) Stay current on OSHA regulations applicable to electrical and instrumentation construction in MS, LA, TX, and AL Serve as primary point of contact during OSHA inspections or client safety audits Subcontractor and client coordination Review subcontractor safety programs and documentation prior to mobilization Represent ICE in client prequalification submissions requiring safety program documentation (ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.) Attend client-required safety meetings and represent ICE professionally What you bring Required Minimum 4 years of field safety or construction/industrial electrical experience OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations Ability to read and work from construction drawings and specifications Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly across MS, LA, TX, and AL Strong communication skills — comfortable coaching field crews and presenting to clients Preferred — stronglyOSHA 500
Trainer certification (enables in-houseOSHA 10/30
delivery) Journeyman electrician background or equivalent hands-on I&E field experience Experience writing or substantially contributing to a formal safety program Familiarity with midstream / pipeline client safety requirements CSP, CHST, or active pursuit of either designation Experience with safety prequalification platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, PEC Premier) What we offer Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and certifications ($52,000 - $82,000 range) Performance bonus tied to safety metrics and company results Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Health insurance, PTO, and paid holidays Support for continuing education and certification (OSHA 500, CSP/CHST coursework) Direct access to ownership and leadership — your work will be visible and valued A company culture that is serious about safety, not just compliant with it Working conditions This position requires frequent travel to job sites across Mississippi and surrounding states.
