General Responsibilities:
Administer and monitor the safety and health programs for an Operating Group of a consulting engineering firm. Responsibilities may include ongoing safety program coordination/administration, providing safety information and consulting, safety communication and training program development, administration and management of workers compensation claims.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Work closely with all Operating Group Safety Professionals to create, manage, train, and audit safety programs. Serve as a point of contact for all safety and health issues for which assistance is needed. Administer driver safety program. Responsible for the case management of all workers compensation claims and coordination of claims with the third party administrator. Serve as a designated company radiation safety officer; ensure radiation regulatory compliance for the company and field offices including the tracking of licensed nuclear devices. Monitor activities of Local Safety Coordinators to ensure safe practices are being followed; Audit submittal and inspection requirements. Develop and present safety and health training materials and programs. Assist in safety program improvements, policy revisions, communications, etc. Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Safety Management or related field. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years' related experience. Knowledge of accident prevention, risk management and general working knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations. Experience with DOT (FMCSA) Commercial Driver requirements Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
