Job Description

Company Overview McAfee Safety Analysis, Inc. (MSA) is an environmental, industrial hygiene, and safety consulting firm supporting federal, state, municipal, and commercial clients nationwide. We are expanding our on-call professional network to support upcoming environmental health and safety (EHS) projects across multiple locations. This opportunity is ideal for experienced Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIHs) seeking flexible, project-based assignments supporting exposure assessments, regulatory compliance, technical oversight, and construction safety monitoring activities.
Position Overview:
We are seeking qualified Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIHs) to join our on-call talent pool for upcoming environmental health and safety projects. This is an on-call / project-based opportunity and does not represent an immediate full-time opening. Selected candidates will be added to our professional network and contacted as assignments become available based on project needs. Assignments may support federal, state, municipal, or commercial environmental health and safety projects, including exposure monitoring programs, compliance support services, and construction-phase industrial hygiene oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include:
  • Conduct industrial hygiene exposure assessments (air, noise, chemical exposure, indoor environmental quality)
  • Provide technical oversight for industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring activities
  • Review exposure monitoring data and interpret results
  • Recommend hazard control strategies and regulatory compliance solutions
  • Support development and implementation of industrial hygiene programs
  • Serve as technical reviewer or oversight CIH for project deliverables when required
  • Support construction safety exposure monitoring activities
  • Prepare and review technical reports and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance on PPE selection and exposure control strategies
  • Support proposal development and technical approach documentation when requested Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Health, or related field
  • CIH certification preferred or candidates actively pursuing CIH certification or eligible to sit for the exam are encouraged to apply
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and occupational exposure limits
  • Experience conducting industrial hygiene exposure monitoring
  • Experience interpreting sampling data and preparing technical reports
  • Ability to work independently in field environments and technical support roles Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal environmental health and safety contracts
  • Experience serving as project CIH or technical oversight CIH
  • Experience supporting construction-phase industrial hygiene monitoring
  • Experience supporting exposure monitoring program development
  • Experience supporting proposal technical approaches for industrial hygiene services
Work Conditions:
  • Project-based field and technical support assignments (various locations)
  • Travel may be required depending on assignment location and project scope
  • Use of PPE and adherence to site safety protocols required at all times
Compensation:
  • Project-based compensation (hourly or daily rates)
  • Rate dependent on qualifications, certifications, and assignment scope
