5-2-4-3 9Hour Workday Job Responsibilities and Duties:
At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Industrial Hygienist is responsible to lead the development, management, and continual improvement of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System. This role ensures compliance with Company, State, and Federal regulations through proactive industrial hygiene programs, field exposure evaluations, and effective use of sampling and monitoring techniques. The Industrial Hygienist plays a critical role in protecting employee health, supporting operational excellence, and safeguarding the Company's business interests by identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace health exposures.Qualifications and Skills:

Develop, implement, and maintain industrial hygiene program, including exposure assessments and sampling strategies, to meet regulatory and Company requirements. Complete exposure monitoring reports and detailed analytical exposure review to evaluate and control occupational health risks. Responsible for the oversight and completion of annual personal health sampling required for employees; coordination of spirometry tests, annual hearing tests, and respirator fit test Deliver MSHA training, including; 40-hour Newly Employed Inexperienced Miner Experienced Miner Annual Refresher Training Support MSHA, OSHA, internal and external on-site compliance inspections, regulatory reviews, and audits. Support implementation and effective use of technology, including Management of Change, Contractor Management, and various other safety related platforms. Assist with facilitation, review, and assessment of risk management practices and principles associated with business needs. Calibrate, maintain, and manage industrial hygiene equipment; conduct noise, heat stress, and containment surveys and sampling. Perform safety audits, planned inspections, accident investigations; develop and deliver training and supervisor coaching based off finding. Preferred Demonstrated understanding and application of Risk Management principles, including hazard identification, exposure assessment, and control strategies. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational health and industrial hygiene Strong ability to interpret analytical and sampling data and prepare clear, accurate, and detailed technical reports involving large and complex datasets. Working knowledge of underground mining operations, mine ventilation systems, mine infrastructure, and processing operations. Previous experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong ability to develop effective training materials and presentations using PowerPoint. Working knowledge ofMSHA 30 CFR, OSHA 29
CFR, NIOSH and ACGIH Industrial Hygiene practices and principles. Knowledge of ergonomic principles with ability to conduct ergonomic assessments in the field. Underground MSHA instructor card, or ability to obtain one. Solid understanding of industrial hygiene monitoring practices, including personal and area sampling techniques for noise, airborne contaminants, and surface (wipe) sampling. Ability to work effectively in field environments, engage the workforce, and communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Education & Experience Underground MSHA Instructor Card- preferred Bachelor's degree in safety or industrial hygiene with experience in Mine Safety and Health or High School Diploma with a minimum of 6 years of relatable experience. Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certification
