Charlotte, North Carolina Safety Manager - Charlotte, North Carolina Seeking construction safety professionals at all experience levels, from entry-level through senior Safety Managers, to support a major construction project in Charlotte, NC. A Top 20 U.S. general contractor is hiring Safety Managers for a long-term opportunity offering exposure to large-scale commercial construction projects, structured career development, and the chance to progress into senior leadership positions within a nationally recognised contractor. Responsibilities
Support the implementation of site safety programmes across active construction projects
Promote compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing workforce training
Build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote a positive safety culture
Review and implement project-specific safety plans and procedures
Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, crane and lifting operations, confined space entry, excavation, and electrical safety
Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the project
Qualifications
Construction safety experience considered from entry level through senior level
Experience on commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, mission-critical, or large-scale construction projects preferred
Strong understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain where applicable)
CHST, ASP, CSP, STSC, or other safety certifications are advantageous
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred, but not essential depending on experience
