Have you read these instructions ?????? Reading and following written instructions are vital for this Transit Specialist position. Martin County has an opening for a full time Transit Specialist. Ensures the work meets the requirements of the agency's Mission Statement. Serves as an accounting technician. Work involves invoicing agencies for transportation services, accounts payable, accounts billable, keying data into
NCTRACKS
for Medicaid Reimbursement, pulling data from the CTS software for
NCDOT-IMD
reports and the Martin County Finance Office, taking customer calls for trip reservations, and inputting reservations into the CTS computer system. Employee will work according to the safety procedures, all traffic laws, and perform tasks under general supervision. Employee will work as a backup transit driver whe the bus routes are short staffed. Will secure the riders in wheelchairs when operating the bus. Will serve as a backup dispatcher when the Transit Dispatcher is out. Employee may be called upon in case of a disaster, either man-made or natural, to serve the residents of Martin County in ways other than listed above. These other duties will take precedence over duties described in this job announcement. The salary range is $31,329. to $34,450. starting pay. This is a Grade 61 position. Includes county benefit package and state retirement.
