The Professional Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate billing, follow-up, and resolution of third-party payer claims including commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and government-assisted programs. This role ensures proper reimbursement by preparing, submitting, and monitoring claims, and resolving outstanding account balances. The AR Specialist serves as a representative between the hospital, payers, and other internal departments to promote efficient claims resolution and compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations.What You'll Do:
Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims accurately and timely, utilizing electronic and paper billing methods as required Perform account follow-up on outstanding insurance balances, ensuring proper payment and reimbursement in compliance with hospital policy and payer guidelines Assist Denial and Payment Variance teams in researching, analyzing, and resolving denied or underpaid claims, including technical and administrative denials, and escalate complex issues when necessary Collaborate with providers, coding, revenue integrity, and patient access teams to ensure claims are complete, accurate, and compliant Retrieve, review, and submit medical documentation requested by insurance carriers to support claim adjudication And more.Who You Are:
