The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's EHS programs and policies, in partnership with regional and global practices. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture. Although this position does not have direct reports, it requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence teams across the organization.Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead EHS programs and projects & provide day-to-day EHS support for site activities
- Champion a proactive safety culture by partnering with leadership and employees to promote safe work practices and environmental stewardship.
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the EHS Management System, including preparation for and support of ISO certification.
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals and practices.
- Conduct and coordinate EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments; identify gaps and lead corrective action initiatives.
- Deliver or coordinate EHS training programs to ensure compliance and build awareness across all levels of the organization.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and environmental events; determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain OSHA 300 and 301 logs; manage injury and illness data and track environmental performance metrics.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports and permits in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on compliance strategies and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental impact.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with ISO standards and certification processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with EHS software systems is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Job specific knowledge:

Preferred:
- Multi-year working experience with Jenbacher gas engines in the field, operational & commissioning, all engine types.
- Jenbacher training certifications:
FTB, FTA, CT1, CT2, MR
- Mechanical/electrical RCA research and analysis exposure
