Job Description

•POSITION
IS ONSITE IN WHITE SANDS, NEW MEXICO
•Job SummaryVSolvit is seeking an experienced, qualified candidate for a Management Analyst I position with an Active Secret Clearance that will support VSolvit onsite at NSWC, White Sands, NM. This position will provide support to Safety and Environmental teams in safety operation, environmental compliance efforts, training activities, and data management. Under minimal supervision, this position will perform a variety of customer support related tasks including, but not limited to the responsibilities outlined below.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks.

ResponsibilitiesAssist the safety lead in updating and keeping current records, reports, etc. that are kept in databases.

Compile, organize, and track data using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).Prepare documentation for entry into official systems and databases.

Support procurement activities by researching and entering data for safety-related purchases based on safety lead recommendation.

Assist in conducting safety training, safety down day briefings, and other safety-focused initiatives.

Record meeting minutes and create the "minutes log" used for safety records.

Conduct safety assessments and inspections with the support of the safety and environmental staff, with progression toward independent execution.

Support the development and distribution of periodic safety and environmental newsletters per instruction from safety lead.

Support safety briefings and training events.

Contribute to initiatives that promote safety awareness and environmental stewardship across the command.

Support OSH, ESO, and Environmental briefings and training eventsAssist in the development of
NSWC PHD
SOPs and training materials.

Basic QualificationsUnited States Citizenship required.

Active DoD SECRET Security ClearanceBachelors degree in Business, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Public Administration, or a related field.

In lieu of degree, 2-3 years hands-on experience with USN administrative systems and procedures.1-3 years of technical experience in support of Department of Defense (DoD) efforts to include: Programmatic Support, Equipment Support, and System Support.1-3 years Microsoft Office 365
Suite:
Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Power Apps such as Power BI and Power Automate along with use of tools such as Tableau and SQL.Strong organizational and planning skills, documentation, and data management.

Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

High level attention to detail.

Ability to follow established procedures and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong data analysis, recordkeeping, and reporting skills.

Preferred QualificationsDomain knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental compliance regulations (e.g.
EPA, OSHA
), Hazardous materials or ordnance safety environments.1-2 years experience with safety inspections or audits, environmental assessments.

Minimum 1-3 years of technical experience in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) efforts to include, system support, logistics/equipment support, and programmatic support.

Certifications such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, Associate Safety Professional (ASP), environmental.

Direct experience with USN and
NSWC PHD
processes and systems preferred.
