Pan Mine, Ely Nevada Schedule:
Tuesday-Friday, 6am to 4pm

Health & Safety Manager Position Overview:

We are seeking a Health & Safety Representative to join our team and play a key role in supporting, strengthening, and advancing our safety culture across the operation. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about safety, enjoys working directly with crews in the field, and brings both analytical capability and strong communication skills to the table.
What You'll Do:
As a Health & Safety Representative, you will serve as a resource and leader in safety-related matters across the site. This is a highly visible, field-oriented role where you will: Lead or support investigations involving incidents, near-misses, and injuries Analyze safety data and trends to drive continuous improvement Ensure compliance with MSHA and applicable state regulations Work directly with employees and supervisors to coach and reinforce safe work practices Facilitate safety meetings, training sessions, and onboarding programs Support and participate in regulatory inspections alongside management Conduct routine inspections, audits, and field safety interactions Assist in coordinating required training programs (Annual Refresher, New Hire, Hazard Training) Contribute to emergency response preparedness and support the site MERT team This role spends the majority of time in the field, engaging directly with employees, contractors, and leadership.
What We're Looking For:
2-4 years of relevant safety experience with demonstrated leadership and project involvement Working knowledge of MSHA regulations (30 CFR) and safety compliance practices Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels Ability to analyze data and apply sound reasoning to solve problems Experience delivering training or facilitating group discussions preferred Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or related field preferred Valid clean Driver's License required
Work Environment & Expectations:
Primarily field-based in an active mining environment Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and equipment Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear required PPE, including respirator when needed Expected to maintain high ethical standards and handle confidential information appropriately Participation in on-call coverage as needed Equal Opportunity Employer Our Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
