Job Description

Position Summary Turner Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support heavy civil, construction, road building, and mining project sites. This field‑based role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing hands‑on safety leadership across multiple project locations. Key Responsibilities Deliver field‑level safety orientations and lead safety meetings Promote and model safe work behaviors and best practices Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments Support incident and near‑miss investigations Monitor compliance with Turner Staffing Group's Safe Work Practices and PPE policies Collaborate with workers, supervisors, and management to identify and mitigate hazards Track safety trends and recommend continuous improvements Travel to multiple project sites as required Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience as a Health & Safety Advisor in heavy civil, construction, or mining environments Strong knowledge of provincial OH&S regulations MSHA Part 48 certification or ability to obtain Alcohol and Drug Screening (pre‑employment) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 12‑hour rotational day/night shifts Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills High school diploma required; post‑secondary education an asset
