Columbus, OH Job Details Full-time $54,000 a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Regulatory inspections Early childhood education center experience Non-profit experience Overseeing educational regulatory compliance Data reporting Mid-level Associate's degree in early childhood education Continuous improvement Staff training Associate's degree Occupational safety program implementation Early Childhood Education Health and safety training programs Staff development Full Job Description The Safety Coordinator provides ongoing monitoring and support at Child Development Council of Franklin County (CDCFC) Traditional Centers and Partnership sites, to ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures, Head Start Program Performance Standards, all State and Federal regulations, and ODJFS licensing rules. The Coordinator will utilize monitoring data to assist the agency with continuous program improvement. Completes a biannual rotation of Safety Monitoring visits at all Traditional and Partnership locations during each program year. Present findings to agency leaders, and Partnership Directors to review the outcomes of site visits and share recommended strategies and actions needed for adherence to Head Start Performance Standards, best practices, and to inform continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to implement staff training opportunities that improve, encourage and support a culture of safety and safety mindset. Create and facilitate training opportunities that improve, encourage and support a culture of safety and safety mindset Collaborate with the Safety Director in the development and implementation of the annual Safety Calendar. Collaborate in the facilitation and planning for the agency Safety Team meetings. Remain current with federal, state, local regulations, and the use of new and cutting-edge technology in the fields of early childhood education and universal safety practices. Generate reports for the Safety Director that include recommendations for improvement, and outcomes for implemented strategies. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge of child growth and development. Assist with regulations governing staffing, management, licensure certification and operation of childcare. Investigate and inspect techniques pertinent to compliance of programs, facilities, Two to five years of experience in Head Start or a non-profit is preferred. A associates degree in early childhood education, human/child development or a related field. An associate's degree in early childhood education, human/child development with a combination of education and work experiences will be considered.
