Full Job Description About New Horizons:
New Horizons Baking Company has been in operation since 1967. We produce ready-to-eat hamburger buns and English muffins for some of the most iconic brands. We currently serve over 2,000 quick-service restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and Western Pennsylvania, as well as national retail and sandwich makers! Compensation & Benefits:
STARTING
$23.29 per hour, paid weekly. Shift available, 12-hour: Days (6:30 am to 6:30 pm) We offer a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, company-paid Dental and Vision, Disability and Life Insurance, 401K with company match, and paid Vacation.

Job Summary:
To follow shipping, receiving and warehousing procedures for all raw materials, company receivables/shipments and finished products. Responsible for unloading bulk flour or other bulk ingredient from railcars/tankers in a food safe and safe manner. Inspect railcars/tankers for food safety seals and follow proper SOP for unloading. Verify flour silos are sealed and locked in order to prevent contamination from intentional contamination and unintentional outside elements. Verify bulk tanks are sealed and locked to prevent contamination from intentional contamination or unintentional outside elements Complete proper paperwork for unloading flour or other bulk ingredients. Communicate any unloading issues to supervisor. Gather sample for QA testing. Back-up shipper-receiver. Participate in fumigation training for summer fumigated railcar release. Complete CIP process if applicable. Maintain tools in a food safe and safe manner. Reports unsatisfactory condition to Dock Supervisor or other appropriate personnel. Responsible for keeping all work areas/equipment in a clean and food safe manner. Maintains established time schedules set and communicates with production and distribution regarding any variations to the daily dispatch. Communicates outcome with Shipping Supervisor on any variations of schedule or issues on the shift. Specific Responsibilities Relating to Food Safety, Legality and Quality Must complete and be competent in all required FSQA, Safety and Job training. Must observe and understand all company rules, follow all safety programs, wear proper Personal Equipment (PPE) during the performance of job duties, and work in a safe manner at all times. Conducts ingredient inspections as needed. Properly reads, comprehends and completes required forms Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality and quality problems from occurring. Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the GFSI Global Standard for Food Safety and other third party audits. Abilities Required Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Able to work safely. Ability to climb ladders necessary for railcar or silo inspection.
