Job Title:
Onsite Medical Representative (Hazle Township, PA) Job Description The Onsite Medical Representative provides first aid and health support to employees in a fast-paced industrial environment while promoting safety, wellness, and injury prevention. In this role, you work closely with the Workplace Health & Safety team, participate in safety and case management meetings, and serve as a trusted health resource for associates with both occupational and non-occupational concerns. You independently assess and administer first aid, guide employees to appropriate external medical care when needed, and help ensure compliance with safety and health regulations. Responsibilities Independently assess and administer first aid to employees for occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. Refer employees to outside medical providers when care beyond first aid is required. Minimize the risk of injury through proactive engagement, safety awareness, and health education on the operations floor. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all care provided to employees. Coordinate and maintain workers' compensation and return-to-work programs for employees with work-related injuries. Prepare and submit daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports in a timely and accurate manner. Engage regularly with employees and site leadership on the operations floor to provide coaching on observed at-risk work habits and body mechanics. Maintain a clean and organized medical workspace and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is monitored and replenished. Participate in training and certification activities to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED certification classes. Maintain all required first aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support credentials in good standing. Support safety operations as part of the onsite Workplace Health & Safety team and collaborate with safety specialists and injury prevention staff. Attend weekly associate safety committee meetings and participate in case management review meetings as needed. Greet and engage with new hires during orientation and through daily one-on-one interactions to promote health and safety principles. Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols in accordance with site procedures. Provide effective care delivery in emergencies and assist with emergency response efforts at the site. Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach as part of daily duties. Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in a large industrial facility. Continuously climb and descend stairs in multi-level facilities, where applicable. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved emergency cardiac care provider. Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification from a state Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Ability to obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within three weeks of start date if not already held. Ability to provide first aid and basic emergency care in a high-volume, industrial environment. Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation of all care provided. Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 49 pounds and prolonged standing and walking. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with employees and leadership at all levels. Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certification to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting. Experience working in an industrial wellness or occupational health program. Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching employees on proper body mechanics. Demonstrated experience with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes. Proficiency in digital record keeping and electronic documentation systems. Recent (within the last year) military experience of at least six months as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician. Strong coaching and education skills to promote health, wellness, and safe work practices. Work Environment This role is based onsite in an industrial operations facility in Hazle Township, PA. You work closely with Workplace Health & Safety professionals and operations teams in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. The position requires standing and walking for up to 12 hours per shift, frequent bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, and the ability to lift up to 49 pounds. You will regularly move through production and loading areas where noise levels vary and where temperatures and weather conditions can change, including exposure to outdoor loading departments. Some sites require frequent stair climbing throughout the shift. Overtime is available, and the training schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 17:30, with regular shift schedules following a designated pattern that may include days, nights, holidays, and weekends. You work in a clinical space within the facility equipped for first aid, CPR, and AED response, and you use digital systems and Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting while maintaining a clean, professional medical environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hazleton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
