Job Description

About the Role As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety and regulatory compliance within our manufacturing operations. You will partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety metrics, mitigate workplace hazards, and ensure all personnel adhere to environmental and safety standards. Responsibilities Facilitate comprehensive safety training programs and maintain accurate documentation to ensure organizational compliance. Execute regular workplace audits and risk assessments to proactively identify and eliminate potential safety hazards. Manage the lifecycle of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and disposal protocols are met. Oversee the inventory and procurement of essential personal protective equipment (PPE) to support employee safety. Conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences and improve safety outcomes. Perform routine inspections of emergency response and compliance-critical equipment to maintain operational readiness. Analyze safety data and incident reports to identify trends, providing actionable insights for weekly performance reporting. Coordinate with external vendors and regulatory bodies to ensure facility operations align with internal standards and legal requirements. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a closely related discipline. Up to three years of professional experience in an EHS capacity within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Active
HAZWOPER
certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safety behaviors across all levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and training delivery. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to achieve safety goals.
