Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Hood Cleaning Technician and become a vital part of ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and optimal performance of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and maintaining kitchen hoods, ducts, filters, and fans to meet industry standards and local regulations. Your work directly contributes to fire prevention, regulatory compliance, and the overall safety of foodservice environments. Responsibilities Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, filters, fans, and related components using appropriate tools and cleaning agents. Inspect ventilation systems for grease buildup, blockages, or damage, and report any issues promptly. Follow established safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment during all cleaning procedures. Maintain accurate records of completed work, including inspection reports and cleaning logs. Use specialized equipment such as high-pressure washers or rotary brushes to ensure thorough cleaning. Adhere to all local fire codes and environmental regulations related to grease removal and disposal. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate service schedules and address any concerns. Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, bending, and working in confined spaces. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and teamwork. Prior experience in industrial cleaning or HVAC system maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines related to hazardous materials handling is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is desirable for travel between job sites.
